Refine
The secret of great product design is relentless refinement. I start by defining and never stop refining with:
Define
I ask pertinent questions to stir constructive debate. Together we define the product, priorities and timeline. I document and distill discoveries into a product WIKI to be used as a spring-board for architecture.
Architect
What separates me from a "Web Designer" is a focus on Information Architecture, because the magic behind the product is how it flows. I create interactive wire-frames to represent the prototype, collect feedback, tweak and refine.
Design
I design "themes" or "skins" which may be modified or even swapped as the product grows and morphs. The foundation of the brand remains in tact as changes to look-and-feel keep things fresh.
Develop
I have hands-on experience as a software designer, and speak the language of engineering to help guide programmers and mold user experience into a working prototype.
Deploy
My role in testing and quality assurance is extensive and fanatic. I provide user-testing and feedback to engineers to make the product perfect as perfect can be.
Promote
I've already prepped the templates for search engine optimization (SEO), so the site promotes itself. But I also help create buzz with viral marketing—e-mail, Facebook and Twitter.
